| The disappearance of Ginger Marks January 1965, a guy called Ginger Marks was kidnapped right outside the Repton Boys Club and he was never, ever seen again.
Why? Well, a guy called Jimmy Evans's wife was having an affair with Freddie
Foreman's brother, Georgie Foreman. Jimmy Evans bugged his car up and
he heard them talking and knew they were having an affair. And he knew
where Georgie Foreman lived in some flats in South Lambeth road. Him and
Ginger Marks, they went there this night, in winter. Ginger Marks knocked
on the door of the flat and Georgie Foremans wife answered. She knew him.
He said "is George in?" She said "yes" I'll tell him.
"George", she went and he came down the passageway and when
he got to the door of the flat onto the balcony Jimmy Evans came round
with a shotgun. |

Wallop! and he shot him in the orchestra stalls, you know. Some time later Freddie Foreman and some others stuck a Jewellers up to Jimmy Evans. A very good thief Jimmy Evans, very good, brilliant with the keys and we had to meet him and Ginger Marks outside the Repton with the keys. When he got there, he was very clever Jimmy Evans, he sussed something might be wrong. He managed to get away but Ginger Marks got caught. He hid under a car Jimmy Evans but he couldn't be found. Ginger Marks, as I say, made good incinerating material. To this day he has never been found. Evans got away. Years later he had divorced that wife and married again. In about 1974 or 1973 there was like a road rage incident. Jimmy Evans pulled up and the other car pulled up and Jimmy Evans stabbed the guy to death. He was knicked for murder. And whilst in Brixton on Murder, waiting to come at the Old Bailey and that, the police got into him and said "If you tell us the truth Jim, about who done Ginger Marks and that, we'll see you get a favourable result on the murder". He did. Got found not guilty of murder but guilty of manslaughter and got six years. 12 months later, Freddie Foreman had almost finished the 10 years he got with Charlie Kray for helping to dispose of the body of Jack the Hat Mcvitie, for not giving him a proper burial. He got knicked, three others got nicked and Jimmy Evans gave evidence against them. Luckily they all got found not guilty. That's another bit of history associated with the Repton Boys Club, I'm happy to say. Jimmy Evans now, what's happened to him? I don't know. He's still about but obviously he hasn't been able to join Ginger Marks yet. By the way, Freddie Foreman,
who was tried for the murder of Ginger Marks now admits to killing him
with the help of Alfie Gerrard.
